Composers

He lives and works in Milan. After a period of activity playing in various chamber groups and orchestras and studying composition at Milan Conservatory, he dedicated himself to music informatics which became a constant presence in his musical production and philosophy.

He obtained his diploma in Electronic Music at Venice Conservatory under the guidance of Alvise Vidolin and realized his first computer music works at the Centre of Computational Sonology (CSC) of Padua University. At present he is on the staff of the Milan computer music studio AGON-Acustica Informatica Musica; he also collaborates in musical and multimedia projects at LIM (Laboratorio di Informatica Musicale- Music Informatics Studio) of Milan University and teaches Electronic Music at the Contemporary Music Section of the Scuola Civica, Milan.

Since 1990, he uses almost exclusively electronic instruments for his compositions. He has collaborated with LIMB - the computer music studio of the Venice Biennale - and his works have been performed at the following festivals: Spaziomusica, Cagliari; Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt; Fylkingen Ny Music & Intermedia Konst, Stockholm; International Festival of Twentieth Century Music, Vittorio Veneto; Musica ex machina, Florence; Music & Architecture, Genoa; Musique Italienne, Toulouse; Anni '90 Arte, Milan; as well as at CIM conferences at Genoa and Milan and in RAI broadcasts.
