Instrument: Trombone
Made his first appearance on the international scene as interpreter of Luciano Berio's Sequenza V, and subsequently as soloist in Ofanim  (Saint-Paul-de-Vence, 1988), Albumblatt (Cologne, 1992) and Outis (Teatro alla Scala, Milan, 1996). Other composers who have written pieces for him as an important "promoter" of the trombone as a soloistic instrument include: Bussotti, Clementi, Corghi, Donatoni, Francesconi, Mortari, Mengelberg, Manzoni, Gentilucci, Gaslini, Panni, Wagenaar, Samorì, Cardini, Bortolotti, De Rossi Re, Colombo Taccani, Cifariello Ciardi, Esposito, Piacentini, Di Scipio, De Lisa, Scagliola, Degrassi, Tedde.
