Elisabetta Capurso  is a pianist, composer, musicologist.  

She studied piano with Carlo Vidusso and Carlo Zecchi, composition with Domenico Guaccero and Brian Ferneyhough, orchestra with Daniele Paris, electronics music with Giorgio Nottoli.
She is well know on the international concert scene, and she has appeared, as a pianist, in the most prestigious halls with a repertoire that starts off the traditional music up to the most advanced expressions of piano’s literature of Twentieth Century, invited by the principal Italian and foreign musical Institutions. Among these: the Colòn Theatre and the national Conservatory of Buenos Aires; the Calcutta Barbara Hall at the Victoria Memorial, Calcutta; Olympic Theatre  and San Leone Magno, Rome; Petruzzelli Theatre  and Piccinni Theatre, Bari; RAI Italian Radio and Television; Auditorium at the S. Cecilia Conservatory, Rome etc.       
She has recorded many first works; for the Rai Italian Radio and Television she has recorded the whole piano work of Anton Webern.
Abroad she joined as theacher many Master Classes of piano interpretation and stages at some of the most important cultural Institutions of the countries that she touched during her concert tours: at the Chulalonkorn University of Bangkonk, at the University of Music of Rosario; in Italy she has taught at the Accademia musicale Pescarese, at the Arts Academy of  Rome. She has been a
member of the juries of national and international performance competitions.  
Elisabetta Capurso is know in the world as well as modern and contemporary music performer, as well as composer. Performed at the Ferienkurses of Darmstadt and at some of the most important cultural Institutions like the ‘ Foundation of  contemporary Music Meeting’ her musical work is characterized by the elements of a learned counterpoint and of a remarkable capability of imparting
its own knowledge. Her compositions have obtained a great success at some of the most important Italian musical Festivals, as well as on the Italian national networks RAI, as well as in many American countries. Among the others: Festival Nuova Consonanza, Rome; Antidogma Musica, Turin;  Nuovi spazi musicali; I corpi del suono L’Aquila etc;  some theaters of Argentina Cordoba, Buenos Aires;  the Theater ‘Amedeo Roldan’ of La Havana(Cuba). Some works have been published by the Musical Editions: Zanibon (Peters) , Padova; Edi-Pan, Rome; AFM-Accord for Music, Rome; SEDAM, Rome. She is in the Italian Composers’s  
Encyclopaedia,  Pagano. She has recorded for AFM, for Icons Antidogma Records and for Vatican Radio; a CD ‘Se il
Narciso si guarda’ in the 2008  for  the AFM-Accord for Music, Rome. Elisabetta Capurso took a degree with honours in Letters at ‘ La Sapienza’ University of Rome. She often gives some seminars at some Italian Universities and Musical Foundations:‘La Sapienza’,  
Rome; Castel Sant’Angelo University , Rome. She has taught at the ‘G. Rossini’ Conservatory in Pesaro, and at the moment she is the  Piano Professor at the ‘S. Cecilia’ Conservatory  in Rome, where she gives a course in Semiography of the contemporary music also  in the superior part of the Conservatory.
She has received many prizes for her artistic values.
