He studied piano with Rodolfo Caporali, organ with Fernando Germani and composition with Goffredo Petrassi at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Rome. He attended the courses of Darmstadt and for several years worked at Pietro Grossi's computer music laboratory at Florence. He was one of the founders of "Nuova Consonanza" and is still a member of the association.
His compositions are performed at major international festivals of contemporary music both in Italy and abroad.
He teaches and is a member of the Council of Musicians of the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese.
