Composers

Born in Pontremoli in 1960, he studied piano with Rossana Bottai and earned a diploma from the Conservatory of Mantua in 1980. At the same he became atracted to composition, studying with Camillo Togni at the Conservatory of Parma and earning a diploma from that institution in 1985. His musical style was decisively influenced by his acquaintance with Aldo Clementi, who presented him at the Festival Pontino 1986 with his Sestetto for strings. He has receveid awards in numerous composition competitions, and has partecipated in several of the mpst important concert series and festivals of contemporary music both in Italy and abroad. Since 1995 he has taught composition at the Conservatory of Verona.
