Filippo Perocco took his degree in Composition at the "Benedetto Marcello" Conservatory in Venice with Riccardo Vaglini, obtaining the maximum marks. At the same institute he obtained the diploma in Organ.
He has selected as a finalist in different competitions as Composer Competiton A.GI.MUS. 1998, International Competition "F. Schubert" 1999, International Gaudeamus Competition 2002, Composing Competition for the Room of "Die Gläserne Manufaktur" - Dresden 2004, International Review of Composers Belgrado 2003, Taukay Composers Competition 2006 and 4e Forum International des Jeunes Compositeurs - ensemble Aleph.
He took part at the "Internationale Ferienkurse für neue Musik Darmstadt" 2000-2002, attended several workshops (S. Sciarrino, B. Furrer, T. Hosokawa, O. Neuwirth, E. Nunes, M. Levinas, T. Murail., W. Rihm, S. Bussotti).

In 2007 he was selected for attend the composition workshop in Acanthes with Yan Maresz, Michael Jarrell and Marco Stroppa.
In 2006 he was Composer in residence at the European Centre for the Arts "KunstForum Hellerau" in Dresden
In 2008 he received the Italian Arts Fellowship - Composer in residence all'American Academy in Rome.
In 2009 he received the Fulbright - J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) with a project affiliated with the Brandeis Univerity in Boston (USA).

His works has been commissioned and performed by Holland Symphonia, Dresdner Sinfonikern, Young Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lorraine, Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta, Ensemble Vocal Modern, IXION ensemble, Vokalensemble Neue Musik Berlin, ensemble Aleph, Accroche Note, ensemble Algoritmo, Trio KAIDA, ASTRA Chamber Choir, COROinCANTO, broadcasted by NPS Holland, Radio Belgrado, SBS Melbourne, BBC Radio 3, Polski Radio.

His compositions have been premiered in different festivals: Gaudeamus Music Week Amsterdam, Manca Nice, Aspekte Salzsburg, Time of Music Viitasaari, International Festival of Contemporary Music Warsaw Autumn, Venice Biennale, Festival Musica Strasbourg, Acanthes, MATA Festival New York, Theatre Dunois Paris, Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte Contemporanea di Montepulciano, Finestre sul ‘900, Zèppelin Festival Barcellona, 3èmes Rencontres Musiques Nouvelles Lunel, The New London Wind Festival, International Review of Composers Belgrade, The Brighton Festival London, Melbourne Contemporary Music Festival, Festival di musica elettroacustica "L'interaction homme/machine dans la performance musicale et artistique" Strasbourg, Compositori a confronto di DiNuovoMusica, Comporre il nuovo Reggio Emilia.

He studies conducting with Emilio Pomàrico at the International Academy of Music in Milan and Sylvain Cambreling at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. He is the founder and artistic director of the ensemble L'Arsenale (Venice), and one of the founders of the multiple keyboards ensemble Teclas. His works are published by ArsPublica and Doblinger.
