The Dynamis Ensemble originates in 1999 in Milan, Italy, from a group of musicians already active within the framework of international concerts, joined by an intense passion for the knowledge and diffusion of contemporary music and 20th century composers. The Dynamis Ensemble has performed in numerous concerts at important cultural spots, both in Italy and abroad, notably Milano Musica Festival, Aspekte Salzburg, Mostra Sonora (Sueca, Spain), Forum Neue Musik Luzern, Festival Internacional Cervantino (Guanajuato, Messico), International Forum of Cultures UNESCO (Monterrey, Messico), Foro internacional de musica nueva (Mexico City), Amsterdam Italian Culture Institute, Antidogma Turin, Compositori a confronto Reggio Emilia, Mantova Musica Contemporanea.
The ensemble constantly has world premieres of musical works, including the interaction of electro-acoustics and multimedia in their performances. The ensemble has collaborated with artists such as Carlo Chiarappa and Armand Angster.
The Dynamis Ensemble has recorded a compact disc with music by Javier Torres Maldonado with the label Stradivarius and a new cd with music by Jonathan Harvey with the same label is forthcoming.
