Works

He studied with U. Rotondi at Milan Conservatory and he attended post-graduate courses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Donatoni (1982-83). In the 1982 he took part in the Venezia Opera Prima festival and from 1984 to 1994 he was regularly invited to the summer courses in Darmstadt, where he won the Stipendienpreis and the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis. His compositions,  published by BMG Ricordi, are commissioned and performed at the most important international festivals by prestigious interpreters and have won awards on numerous occasions. He has given several masterclasses and he has taken part in various seminars : at Paris Conservatory (1983), in St Petersburg ( 1992), in Cesena, Salonicco (1997), at "Di nuovo musica" in Reggio Emilia (1998) and in Damasco. He currently teaches at Milan Conservatory.
