He graduated in Composition and in Piano, and was awarded prizes at several national and international Composition Contests, like "Bucchi" (1990), Porrino (1994), Belveglio (1995), SanRemo Classico "Diapason d'oro" (1995), Città di Pavia (1996). His works have been performed in Italy and abroad - Germany, Rumania, Holland, Great Britain, U.S.A., Slovenia, Argentina, Austria and Japan - during international festivals such as: Gaudeamus (Amsterdam), Nuove Sincronie (Milano), Antidogma Musica (Turin), Stagione Sinfonica di San Remo 1999, Dinuovo Musica (Reggio Emilia), Festival Aspekte (Saltzburg), Nuova Musica Italiana (Roma), Festival RomaEuropa, Festival Enquentros (Buenos Aires), Ludus Ensemble (Bern), Musikhochschule (Leipzig), Brandeis University(Boston) Freundeskreis der Kunstwerkstatt am Hellweg (Bochum). His work "Cinque Bagatelle" for string quartet, was selected for World Music Days 2003 in Lubiana (Chairman of the jury: K. Pendereckj). 
His works are published by Berben, Edipan and BMG Ricordi, recorded on CD by Sincronie (Milano), Rivoalto (Treviso), Pentaflowers (Roma), Accent (Germany), and broadcast by National Radio of Italy, Slovenia, Mexico (Radio UNAM "Hacia una nueva musica") and Germany (Deutschlandfunk and Nordwestfunk – November 2006).                           
He has given several lectures at the Austrian Institute of Rome (during "Wien from Mozart to Schoenberg" 2001), at Hungarian Academy of Rome (during "Hungary and the music: two centuries of History from Liszt to Ligeti" 2003), and at the Accademia Angelica Costantiniana ("Brahms and Variation" 2003).                                                       
His essay "The influence of Beethoven upon Bela Bartok's art: the Finale of Second Quartet" has been published by Hortus Musicus.
