Instrument: Percussion - Conductor

Graduated in Choir Conducting and Percussion Instruments (magna cum laude).
In 1985 he received the silver medal by the President of Italy for the European Year of Music.
Since 1978 up to 1990 he partecipated in some of the most important symphonic and opera orchestras as Sinfonica della RAI di Roma, Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
In 1987 he founded, with Antonio Caggiano, the ARS LUDI ensemble, a group fundamentally based on percussion, performing art, and electronics. Since that time he has performed all over the world (France, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, China, USA, Canada, Greece, Sweden, Japan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal). Partecipation in composition workshop (K.Stockhausen) and Gregorian Chant stage (N.Albarosa). He has been dedicated works for percussion by many contemporary composers. Since 1988 he is member of the ethnic music group, TANIT.
Collaborations with Officina Musicale Italiana (OMI) and BussottiOperaBallet. Since 1994 he is a member of the chamber music ensemble "I solisti della Filarmonica" conducted by Giuseppe Sinopoli.
In 1998 began a collaboration with Orchestra da Camera Italiana (OCI) conducted by Salvatore Accardo.
He has performed with soloists, performers and artists as David Friedman, Paolo Fresu, Jeffrey Swann, Jeremy Menuhin, Bruno Canino, Antonio Ballista, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jean Pierre Drouet, Paul Mefano, Fabio Mauri, Giuseppe Scotese, Amalia del Ponte, Alvin Curran, Antonello Neri, Luigi Cinque, Gabriella Bartolomei, Mitchiko Hirayama, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Massimo Popolizio.
Since 1997 he is artistic director of the recording label Esperia.
As a composer he wrote music for small ensembles and solo instrument, some of them have been published by BMG-Ariola and Coltempo. His professional carreer has been concentrated to some of the most important works for percussion as K.Stockhausen Kontakte, B.Bartok Sonata for two pianos and percussion, J.Cage 27.10.554, H.W.Henze Prison Song, L. Berio’s Circles, and many of the G.Battistelli's compositions.
He teaches percussion instruments at Roma Conservatory of Music "S. Cecilia".
