Claudia Antonelli - Biography



Instrument: Harp
She was born in Rome and she studied in Rome Brussels and Paris.
She received awards in Venice (1970) and in Jerusalem (1973).
She plays as a soloist in recitals and with orchestras in the most important Italian Musical Associations and she has performed all over Europe Japan Australia Canada and Brazil. Especially she played at Carnegie Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Konzertgebow, Wienerkonzerthaus, Salzfestspiele, Salzburger Mozarteum, Musikhalle and Beethovenhalle.
She worked with conductors as Igor Markevitch, Juri Temirkanov, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Eduardo Mata, Leopold Hager, Peter Maag, Hans Graf and players as Severino Gazzelloni, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Wolfgang Schulz, Dino Asciolla, Bruno Giuranna. She has recorded CD for Arts and Naxos.
Many contemporary Italian composers, as Petrassi Donatoni, Sciarrino Bussotti and Pennisi, dedicated some of their works to her. She played several first performances, with Accademia di S. Cecilia and Radio orchestras, for Accademia Chigiana in Siena and Spoleto Festival.
