Instrument: Ensemble

The Ensemble Suono Sacro was born as part of the Assisi Suono Sacro project, and becomes the project’s main expression.
It addresses the exploitation of the sacred and spiritual dimensions of present music, together with a large panoramic view moving towards a classical repertoire that goes hand in hand with contemporary music along with improvisation movement.
Formed and founded by Andrea Ceccomori (flautist), who is both musical and artistic director of the project, the ensemble avails itself of an instrumental body and guests formed from selected musicians and composers.
Apart from the flute soloist, the ensemble includes a piano or harp, a string quintet, or a string chamber orchestra, and occasionally, vocal soloists, choir, percussion, electronics and other wind instruments.
The musicians, from both Italy and abroad, have gained great experience and good repute in the field of the contemporary music, touring the USA, Canada, Europa, South America, Africa; participating on CD, TV and radio recordings (such as Ceccomori and Ottaviucci); and playing several different kinds of music.
