Orazio Tuccella - Biography


Instrument: Conductor
He studied Composotion with M° Giancarlo Bizzi and Conducting with M° Nicola Hansalik Samale at the Conservatory "A. Casella" of L'Aquila. Together with the Officina Musicale, of which he is the director since it's foundation, he held concerts in Italy and abroad: Rome, Festival di Villa Massimo e Nuova Consonanza; Milan, Teatro dell'Elfo; Linz, Brucknerhaus; Florence, 55° Maggio Musicale; Munich, The Third Music Biennal; London, Queen Elisabeth Hall; Toronto, Jane Mallet Theatre; New York, Guggenheim Auditorium; Buenos Aires, Ciudad Auditorium; Vienna, Schuspielhaus. He has been invited by M° Sylvano Bussotti to conduct the opening night of "Ninfeo" with the Bussottioperaballet soloists and the author at the piano (the University Concert Institution and the german Academy of Rome). He conduced the group of percussion and research Ars Ludi of Rome, the Gruppo da Camera della Filarmonica Trentina. He recorded in live broadcast for the Third Broadcasting Network the opera "Orfeo" by A. Casella inside the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano. He recorded for RAI-Sat the G. Battistelli's première of "Kepler's Traum", in 1990 at the Brucknerhaus of Linz. He realised and conduct the premiere of "Sinfonia Specchiante" by Carlo Crivelli and Michelangelo Pistoletto, executed simultneously and in video-communication.
