Arturo Tallini attended the ‘Ecole Normale de Musique' of Paris where he obtained his degree, ‘Superieur de Concertiste a l'Hunanimite' under the guidance of Alberto Ponce. He has won several prizes in national and international competitions including the First Prize in the Alessandria Guitar Competition (1987) and Third Prize in the Radio France Guitar Competition (1989). Arturo has performed in many countries including: Italy, France, Holland, Romania, Croatia, England, Austria, Egypt, Algeria, Switzerland, Tunisia, Poland, Germany, Spain, and Montenegro; both appearing with chamber and orchestra groups or as a soloist. Several composers have written for Tallini, so much so that he has become a byword for contemporary repertoire in Italy. His performances have been broadcasted by RAI (Italian Radio and Television), and by several European national radio companies like Yugoslav Radio, Radio France, Tunisian Radio and the Vatican Radio. In 2006 Tallini wrote and produced a series of 8 broadcasts about the guitar for Vatican Radio. Since 2007, Arturo Tallini has taught at the Conservatoire of Rome and regularly gives masterclasses at other Italian conservatoires.
