Composers

The composer, director, author Roberto Paci Dalò belongs to the innovative exponents of the contemporary arts scene.
He's the director of Giardini Pensili, a performing arts ensemble and media lab created in 1985. Between 1993 and 1995 Dalò was a DAAD Stipendium prize winner in Berlin. Since 1997 professor of Media Dramaturgy at the University of Siena. His recent presentations include: Vienna Opera House, Hebbel-Theater Berlin, Steirischer Herbst Graz, Ars Electronica Linz, Spiel.Art Munich, Mittelfest Cividale del Friuli, Net Days Bruxelles. Collaborations include: David Moss, Kronos Quartet, Giorgio Agamben, Predrag Matvejevic', Scanner, Gabriele Frasca, Patrizio Esposito, Maurizio Cattelan. Since 1989 he composes and directs radio plays produced by the main European broadcasting, pieces which radically work on an expansion of the radio languages and its possibilities. Artist-in-residence at the Ars Electronica FutureLab Linz and STEIM Amsterdam. His video Camera Obscura was part of the official selection of the 54th Locarno International Film Festival. This year he will be artist-in-residence in Marseille and Bruxelles. Sound/video installations are scheduled in Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. Theatre and music works will be presented in Europe and North America.
