Antonio Iafigliola studied with Antonio Di Pofi and Salvatore Sciarrino. His compositions, characterized by an extreme essentiality of the material and a strict research of timbre, have been performed by many groups such as: Doppler Trio, Albatros Trio, Logos Ensemble, Monésis Ensemble, Musica d'Oggi Ensemble, Samnium Concentus Female Choir, Newport Music Festival Quintet, Orchestra Sinfonica del Molise, Orquesta de Còrdoba, Rumanian State Philarmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica della Filarmonica di Lviv, etc., in Europe, Canada, United States, South America, Japan, Egypt, Tunisia, etc, and have been broadcasted by the most important television and radio networks: RAI, RAI International, RAI Filodiffusione (V Canale "Auditorium") Radio Vaticana, Radio Nacional de España, Radio France, Rumanian National Radio.

Teacher in training, updating and specialization courses, he cooperated with RAI (School Education Department) for the TV program La Divina Commedia together with different Publishing and Recording Companies (Ricordi, Edipan, AMTD, Bajaka Music, Edizioni Enne, Mega, Erreffe).

For the Molise RAI division he composed the original music of the following radio programs: I colori del suono and Pietro Celestino da Morrone: Frate, Papa, Santo. With the female choir version of Invocazione II Antonio Iafigliola received the "New Music Special Prize" at 3rd National Choral Contest in Zagarolo (2004). He also composed the original music for the short movie Buon Compleanno, Maestro on the occasion of the bicentenary of the Provincia of Campobasso, and the soundtrack for the short movie Help, 1st Prize at the Festival 2006 www.ilcorto.it Festa di Roma - experimental video category - broadcasted by LA7 channel within the program 25ma ora. After graduation in Composition (Conservatorio "Lorenzo Perosi" - Campobasso) and Band Instrumentation (Conservatorio "Alfredo Casella" - L'Aquila), Antonio Iafigliola now teaches Composition for Music Didactic at the Conservatory of Campobasso and he gives music classes in the faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the local University (Università degli Studi del Molise).
