Composers

Graduated in flute at "St. Cecilia" Conservatory of Rome with Enrico Casularo and attended advanced training in performance practice of 20th century chamber music with Nestor Eidler. He has also attended for three years the course "MusicaEnergia" (Music & Energy) in Italy and Spain. He studied composition with Mauro Cardi. First-class degree in Electronic Music at Perugia Conservatory with Luigi Ceccarelli. He collaborated as sound director with "Musica Verticale" and "C.R.M." (Centro Ricerche Musicali), and collaborated as a composer and sound director with Duo Echos. From 1994 till 1996, he has been the technical manager of the "Concerti all'Acquario Romano" and Concerts at Air Terminal Ostiense in the context of "Progetto Musica 2000", a government project for contemporary music.
In 2000 he met the percussionist and vocalist Umberto Papadia, from Salento (Apulia - Southern Italy), with whom he started a fruitful research project "Ammaraciccappa" - Ecstatic Rhythms of South Italy, Desert Voices and Metropolitan Sounds - on traditional singing. He is the producer for Il Canto Lontano of "Al Qantarah", the first CD of "Ammaraciccappa" group. Finalist, with his project Envoys (for female voice, winds, audio sequencing and live electronics), within the "European competition for live-electronic music projects" organized by ECPNM (European Conference of Promoters of New Music), and hosted by the International Gaudeamus Music Week 2007. His piece Riflessioni, for computer processed flute sounds, won the 34rd International Competition of Electroacoustic Music Bourges 2007, in the section Trivium First category, and was also selected within the 3rd Federazione CEMAT Call for Electroacoustic Music works.
He is also active as movie sound tracks composer. His music was successfully performed in Italy, Switzerland, U.S.A. and Canada.
