Beatrice Barazzoni studies at «G. Verdi» Conservatory in Milano (Italy): she obtains the Diplom in Piano under V. Balzani, the Diplom in Composition (1999) as well as the M.A. in the same field (2006) with A. Solbiati. Meanwhile she has been studying Italian Literature and Musicology at the Universities of Milano and Padova, where she gets the Arts Degree (1993) and the Ph.D (2006). She specializes in piano at the «Chigiana Academy» in Siena with A. Weissenberg and attends masterclasses of composition with L. De Pablo in Milano, with T. Wielecky at I.M.D. Darmstadt as well as with I. Fedele in Roma, as winner of the national selection “De Musica” by “Nuova Consonanza”. In 2011 she has been attending the I.R.C.A.M.’s intensive stage d'été about musical creation with
electronics in Paris. In 1994-1996 she collaborates with the concert association «I Pomeriggi Musicali» of Milano; in 1997
she wins a D.A.A.D. scholarship for a semester of studies at Heidelberg (Germany); in 2001 she is invited in Hungary at the "Balatonföldvár Days of XXI Century’s Music", dedicated to G. Kurtág. She receives prizes in international Composition competitions: “Alice Bel Colle” (Alessandria, Italy 2011- 1° prize), “Musici Mojanesi” (Treviso, Italy 2006, 1° prize), “Carl von Ossietzky” (Oldenburg,
Germany 2011, 1° prize), Chamber Music Seinäjoki, (Seinäjoki, Finland 2011, 1° prize), «I.V.M.E. (Internationale vereniging voor muziekeducatie) Belgium/Flanders» (Antwerpen 2011- 2° prize), «Alvarez Chamber Orchestra» (London 2011- 2° prize), “Siegburger Kompositionswettbewerb” (Siegburg, Germany 2012, 3° prize), “Via nova- zeitgenössische Musik in Thüringen” (Weimar, Germany 2013, 2° prize),   memorable diploma at the competition “P. Jurgenson” (Moscow 2000) and the national prize «Terzo Musica
Valle Bormida» (Acqui T., Italy 2012, 3° prize). Her pieces have been performed in festivals of contemporary music among which Cremona (festival «SpazioNovecento»), Milano («G. Verdi» Conservatory), Bellagio («Festival del Lago di Como»), Bologna

(Illinois Wesleyan University), São Paulo in Brazil (University), Seinäjoki-FIN («Chamber Music Festival»), by ensembles as «Intermoduláció», «Studio New Music», «Divertimento», «Kreativ», «Arsenale», «City Orchestra of Seinäjoki» and Symphonic Orchestra «M. Jora». Some of her pieces have been transmitted by the italian Radio Popolare, the hungarish Radio Bartók, the austrian ORT-Rundfunk and the finnish YLE1.

In 2004 she has been approaching the sounding-visual poetry of P. Albani for producing spectacles of music-poetry ay S. Matteo Theatre of Piacenza. In 2006 a new piece of her partecipates the festival «Hommage a Bartók» in Budapest, lauched by the hungarish Radio for the 125° of the composer. Her Trio “L’astro della palude”, is selected for the “Labyrinthmaker platform” project of the «Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble Wien» who performes it in the years 2006-’07 in a tournée in the U.S.A, Brazil and five european countries. The belgian Trio «Thelema» commissions a piece to her, which is performed in 2008 in the concerthouse Logos Tetrahedron of Gent-Belgium. In 2010 she is guest composer at the festival «Expan» von Spittal a.d. Drau- Austria. In 2013 a project of her about studying and reinventing bulgarian folk songs has been supprted by the french association «Temp’ora» and realized in the «École nationale de Musique» of Sofia. In february 2014 her work for feminine choir An die Nacht will be premièred in Prague by the Prague
Philarmonic Choir. Some of her pieces are published by the “P.I. Jurgenson Charity Foundation” of Moscow and by the
italian Ars Publica. She has written essays about baroque and contemporary music with specific interest in musical analysis.
From 2006 to the present time she has been teaching Composition in italian Conservatories (now in Foggia
Conservatory).
