She studied with Michelangelo Lupone and Giancarlo Bizzi at the Conservatoire of l'Aquila. She is co-founder and co-manager of Centro Ricerche Musicali (CRM, 1988), composer, researcher and organisation manager. She is interested in researching the forms of language innovation by means of electronic technologies focused on systems for real time sound processing. She collaborated to the realisation of Fly10 and Fly30 systems (1983/1990) designed by M. Lupone, and to the conception of new methods of music listening entailing the creation of specific spaces for all kinds of use ("Teatro dell'ascolto", CRM '94). In the last few years she has been researching on the relationship between text and music and on music folktales. Thanks to this research she could put forward original ideas for the radio, concerning composition and the conception of "virtual scenic spaces". The general purpose of this project is to create sound images in the context where the narration or the dialogue take place, generating original and complex semantic references without didactic aims. She realised musical radio scenes based on texts by Susanna Tamaro for RAI Radio Tre: Immobile e Doppio (1994) realised also in theatre version by Hessischer Rundfunk, Frankfurt; Il Cerchio magico (1996) during "Parole e Musica" festival; Il vincolo, La rivolta, Il vento notturno for "Teatri alla Radio" series edited by Luca Ronconi (1997). In 1988 she wrote the work A Maria on a commission by Radio Vaticana based on excerpts from apocryphal gospels. On a commission by Teatro Sociale di Rovigo and Fondazione La Fenice she wrote the multimedia folktale Alice e il senso perso (2002) made from Through the looking glass by Lewis Carroll and Versi del senso perso by Toti Scialoja. She is still researching the relationship between text and music with the work Il resto è quiete on texts by William Shakespeare: Hamlet, The Tempest (WP: Rome, Musica Scienza '99) and King Lear, Macbeth.
