Edgar Alandia C.( Bolivia 1950 ) has completed his musical studies, Composition and Conducting, at the Conservatory and the National Music Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome (Italy).

1978: Winner at the International Composition Contest “V. Bucchi”in Rome with “Pampa” for clarinet and orchestra.

1981: Honour Mention at the International Composition Contest “I. Carreno” ( Caracas, Venezuela) with “Canto de hoy” for soli, coro and orchestra.

1982: “Sajsayhuamàn” for orchestra is selected for Venezia “Opera Prima” festival.

1985: “Pampa” is selected at the 3rd TRIMALCA (International Music Council of UNESCO) at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

His chamber and symphonic music is performed in Contemporary Music festivals and important Concert seasons in Europe and America.Since 1983 and for several years  he have conducted the ensemble Nuove Forme Sonore of Rome

On 1978 he worked at the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie (Bruxelles) and with the Ballet du Xxème Siècle of Maurice Bèjart.He have teached Composition at the Italian National Conservatories “G. Rossini” (Pesaro) and “S.Cecilia” (Rome).

Invited to give master classes, seminars, and workshops he worked in Albania, Brasil, Bolivia, Cuba, UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Poland, Perù, Rumania and Mexico. Up to the date he is  teacher at the National Conservatory of Perugia (Italy).

His works are published by Ricordi (Milan), Edipan (Rome), BMG (Rome) and Musicinco (Madrid).
