Commissioned by Philips Italiana on the occasion of the national competition for young violinists, Ciglio for solo violin was composed in 1989.
Despite the fact that the piece has characteristics similar to those of other solo pieces composed previously for various instruments, it nevertheless limits the instrumental complexities to models of performance that can be faced without difficulty.by young concert artists.
